What Dojo Actually Offers

A Published Plan

The Fix plan for businesses under £100,000 a year of card turnover: £39.99 a month covering turnover up to £3,999 a month, then 1% flat, with Amex included. Above that, a custom quote on the Flex or Pro plans.

Fast Settlement

Next-day payouts as standard, and weekend and bank holiday payouts with the 7-day upgrade. Setup completes in about a day, and the terminals fail over to built-in 4G if your broadband drops.

A Fair (Not Free) Contract

A 30-day no-commitment trial, then a 12-month price-locked plan on Fix (Flex offers 30-day rolling). Leave mid-term and you pay the remaining contract costs. £0 setup.

Dojo Terminals and Prices

Dojo publishes only "from" hardware prices: from £179 to buy a terminal upfront, or from £15/month on a 30-day rolling plan, with the exact price per device confirmed at quote. The pay-monthly option is unavailable under £100,000 a year of card turnover, so smaller businesses buy upfront (or take the free terminal through MerchantSwitch). Worked example at £8,000/month card takings:

Dojo Fix (£39.99 + 1% over £4k)
£79.99/mo
SumUp at 1.69%
£135.20/mo
Square at 1.75%
£140/mo
Below roughly £2,300/month of card takings the flat-rate readers win, because the £39.99 Fix fee is a 2% effective rate at £2,000/month. Above the crossover the gap widens fast. Full arithmetic in the Dojo review.
